TRNC Prime Ministry Disaster and Emergency Committee warns citizens not to go out due to bad weather conditions
The TRNC Prime Ministry Disaster and Emergency Committee on Monday warned residents not to go out unless necessary due to bad weather conditions.
A written statement was issued by the Prime Ministry's Disaster and Emergency Committee due to adverse weather conditions, warned citizens to take precautions.
In the statement from the committee, it was noted: “Based on the latest assessments by the TRNC Meteorological Department, heavy and thunderous downpours are expected across the country, with the possibility of strong rainfall in some areas. Additionally, winds are expected to be strong and, at times, reach storm levels in certain regions. In this context, all necessary measures to address potential damages are being taken by relevant units in coordination with the respective ministries, District Governorships, Civil Defense Organization, Local Authorities, and Kıb-Tek.”
The Prime Ministry's Disaster and Emergency Committee stated that all relevant units will remain on high alert to inform the public about potential adverse events and will provide real-time updates if necessary.
The statement concluded with: “Therefore, due to the current severe weather conditions, we kindly ask our citizens to avoid going outside unless absolutely necessary.”
