Man steals girlfriend’s phone in north Cyprus after she refuses to show him a message on her phone

A 30-year-old man was arrested by Turkish Cypriot police for stealing his girlfriend’s mobile phone in an incident that happened in Kyrenia on Tuesday night.

The incident happened at around 1:00 pm on Tuesday December 31 in Kyrenia when the man identified only as EA, 30 while spending time with his girlfriend at a hotel became enraged because she received a text message.

He demanded to see who the message was from, and she refused, with an argument subsequently breaking out between the pair.

After the argument, he stole the phone, and she reported him to the police.

The police’s investigation into the matter is ongoing.
