Hunter shot in the face in north Cyprus
A man was shot in the face while out hunting near the Karpas peninsula villages of Yedikonuk and Mehmetçik, the Turkish Cypriot police said on Monday.
The incident happened at around 10:00 pm om Sunday December 29 when the man, named as 44-year-old Acar Tezer, was “struck by pellets in his face and various parts of his body”, with the shots having been fired by “unknown hunters in the area”.
Tezer was taken to the north’s Famagusta state hospital, where he remains under observation.
The police’s investigation into the matter is ongoing.
