North Cyprus Health Ministry to help Nigerian student with kidney failure
The Health Ministry is ready to “do its bit”
to help secure a life-saving transplant for a foreign student suffering
kidney failure, the TRNC minister Filiz Besim told Cyprus Today.
Dr Besim said Michael Mohammed Saliu could be registered on the organ
transplant waiting list, the priority order of which is reviewed by a
ministry committee in line with the urgency with which patients need
treatment.
In the meantime, she said special exemption had been given
for his dialysis at Gazimağusa State Hospital, commenting:
