Alexis Sanchez pictured in Manchester United kit ahead of Henrikh Mkhitaryan swap deal

It's Monday's Paper Round and the papers are reporting that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has criticised Alexis Sanchez for his decision to leave as the deal to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang edged closer.

Wenger criticises Sanchez
Arsene Wenger has hit out at the departing Alexis Sanchez telling reporters he couldn't see why anyone would leave Arsenal and pointed out that if Manchester City pulled out of the running it was a sign of the sort of demands that Sanchez was making, demands that Arsenal couldn't make.

Our view: Why wouldn't anyone want to leave Arsenal, Arsene Wenger??? No major trophies, no consistency at the top level and no champions league till only God known when... For financial reasons, he might have a point there. But Arsenal is no longer a club where top players want to play. maybe until Wenger is out..

Gunners to make club-record bid for Aubameyang
The Mirror reports that Wenger is privately confident that a deal to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund is close. A bid of £45 million has been rejected but Arsenal are reportedly prepared to spend more than the £52 million they spent to bring Alexandre Lacazette to the club over the summer.

Our view: To prove to the fans and the world that they mean business even after the departure of Sanchez, Arsenal needs to make a statement signing no matter how much is the cost. So getting Aubameyang in along with Henrikh Mkhitaryan does represent excellent business for the Emirate club.

Hazard doesn't agree with Chelsea transfer targets
Most of the papers have quotes from Chelsea forward Eden Hazard who has said he doesn't believe the club need to sign a target man. Chelsea have been linked with a host of big strikers but Hazard, who scored a brace on Saturday, said that the team have two good strikers in Alvaro Morata and Michy Batshuayi whilst he believes he can also play there.

Our view: I agree with Hazard on this. While go after old and out of favor strikers when you have the likes of Morata, Hazard, Batshuayi, Pedro, William and the rest? Conte just need to put his trust in Batshauyi and back him to shine for the remainder of the season.

Stoke launch bid for Jack Harrison
The Mail report that Stoke City have launched a bid worth £3.25 million for New York City FC's forward Jack Harrison. The former Liverpool and Manchester United academy player has impressed in MLS and recently earned a call-up to the England U-21 side. He was born in Stoke before moving to Bolton as a child.
